Heather has grown a lot (that's what it seems to me, at least) during the summer. She enjoyed having ample amounts of free time to play & just hang out around the house. But by the end of summer, she was so ready to go back to school. And back to school she did comes September. She was happy to face the life of a 3rd grader! Her teacher is such a sweet woman with such a high voice. Heather wasn't expecting to be in her class, but she had come to know her & love her. :)
She went back to doing ballet once a week which she absolutely enjoys. She started doing gymnastics and have found out that she loves all the tumbling, stretching, and the parallel bars. She is such a natural! She also loves jumping in our tampoline (yes, we finally purchased one and takes most of our backyard space inside the serpentine wall!) and do all kinds of tumbles and stumbles. :)
She also started playing flute in school as part of the school curriculum for instrumental music. She have decided to play piano only until the end of the year, so she can focus more on getting better at playing the flute. It's a little saddening since she has been playing piano for about 2 years now. She's letting Paul be the pianist in our house. :)
The most exciting news of all-- Heather turned 8 in September and chose to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. Her baptism day was such a beautiful and memorable day for us all made even more special by the support, help and presence of some of our dear friends. And of course, she had a birthday party which mostly revolved around playing in the trampoline.
Heather run her first ever 5K with a time of 37 minutes. She had such a great time running with her friends from Girls on The Run. She trained and had fun for about 8 weeks with the girls that culminated in the race last November.
My little munchkin is growing up to be such a nice, sweet and very friendly girl liked by many. She continues to amaze us with her sweet and sunny disposition. She brings joy to our lives and we are truly blessed to have her in our family...

It is fun to get an update on Heather. I can't believe how she has grown and changed in the 2.5 years since we left New Jersey. Congratulations on your baptism Heather! I am happy to hear that you have made that choice. You are so talented in so many areas. The hard part is going to be choosing which ones to continue on with as you have already learned! Keep up the good work!
