Last night, Paul & Heather (& mine's) combined efforts are realized into a beautiful gingerbread house. They had fun decorating the house, while I was mostly in charge of the frosting. When John came back from an errand, we surprised him with a beautiful gingerbread house that the kids created. And did I mention it's beautiful? :)

Observation Day!!
Last week, Heather's ballet class had an Observation week. Twice a year, the parents can come & see what their little dancers have been learning. It was a treat for John & me! We both agree that Heather loves to dance & she's very focused, yet still having fun. :)

Our own Weather Man
My kids school has this great program where they do their own little broadcasting/news segment three times a week. They rotate from the younger grades to the older ones pretty quickly. Paul had the weather segment this week & last week. I asked if he volunteers for this task or if it's assigned to them by their teacher. He said that last week he volunteered & this week his friends volunteered him for the job. He had a great time predicting, or I should say googling the weather :) , making his poster & reporting for the KBC segment. He's our own little weather person!

I love Asparagus!
I can never get enough of them. Here's a recipe that I use when I'm craving for asparagus, which is almost every week! They are very easy to prepare & my family surprisingly enjoys them too.

1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
3 cloves garlic, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Mix soy sauce & vinegar in a small bowl. Melt the butter or margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and asparagus spears; cover and cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until asparagus is tender but not overcooked. Add the soy sauce & vinegar at the end of cooking time.
Kain na! :)
